Memnemonics fike’s

Faz um tempo que não posto sobre assuntos técnicos.  Estava configurando um servidor com WebDAV e tive alguns problemas para configurá-lo.

No Debian Etch com a versão 2.2.3-4 do Apache existe um bug ao usar o parâmetro Dav On na configuração de um site, este bug gera uma mensagem de erro como essas abaixo.

[Fri Jul 20 15:09:15 2007] [error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] Could not open the lock database.  [500, #400]
[Fri Jul 20 15:09:15 2007] [error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] (13)Permission denied: Could not open property database.  [500, #1]

Esse problema ocorre devido dono  do diretório /var/lock/apache2 ser o root ao invés do usuário www-data. Para corrigir basta alterar o dono.

#chown www-data /var/lock/apache2

No Debian Bug Track System, também conhecido como BTS, tem um bug de número #420101 relacionado este problema.
